Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he will have the final say on transfers at Manchester United and insists the club remains an attractive prospect for any player.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand is allegedly frontrunner to be their first ever technical director, with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward keen to introduce the role over the summer.

Woodward plans to restructure the club’s management team with someone brought in to oversee transfers after a number of questionable deals over the past few years.
Since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, United have had four different managers and Solskjaer is the most recent man at the helm, but he has now won only two games in his last ten and seven of those have been defeats.
However, the Norwegian believes Old Trafford is still the favoured destination for most players, despite their recent struggles.

He said: “We might not be (in the Champions League) and you would be surprised how many agents have been touting their players… not touting, it’s just like telling us that their players, their clients would love to be a part of Man United in the future.
“That’s just the lure of Man United because (players) know, with the potential here, the size of the club, that we will in the end get back to good days.”
Solskjaer is keen to rebuild the squad in the summer and said that the final say on any deals would be his.

“I’ll have a final say if players come in or go out, yeah, and we’ve got regular meetings,” Solskjaer added.
“I’m happy with the way it’s going. We’re supposed to sign 250 players… hopefully we can get players in that you haven’t written about as well. You never know.”
United have two games remaining, starting with Sunday’s trip to Huddersfield, before hosting Cardiff on the final day of the season.
