Daniel Sturridge could be heading to Scotland to continue his football career when his time as a Liverpool player comes to an end.
The Reds announced earlier this week that Sturridge, who has scored 67 goals since joining from Chelsea in 2013, will leave Anfield when his contract expires at the end of the month.
He was only a bit-part player under Jurgen Klopp in 2018/19, with just seven starts to his name in all competitions.
Liverpool’s decision to release Sturridge comes as no surprise, and even earlier this year there was said to be interest in the former England international from MLS clubs.
However, the latest odds suggest a move north of the border could instead be on the cards.

Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on Sturridge upon the confirmation of his departure, saying: “Daniel has earned the right to be considered a modern-day Liverpool great, I would think.
“He came to the club while we were trying to rebuild and re-establish ourselves. Some of the goals he has scored for Liverpool were so, so, so important.
“He is one of the best finishers I have ever seen in my life. He scores goals you think could and should not be possible.”
