Manchester United have reportedly had a £95million bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly rejected, according to reports.
A huge overhaul at Old Trafford could happen this summer following their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
It is understood centre-back Koulibaly is near the top of their summer wishlist.
However, Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira has claimed United’s potential world record bid for Koulibaly has been turned down by the Italian club.
Virgil van Dijk is the world’s most expensive defender following his £75m move to Liverpool from Southampton in January 2018.
